The members present unanimously approved a proposal that our officers suggest to the international IUSSI that an IUSSI archives be designated (probably just an expansion of the charge of the present NAS/IUSSI archives, with Chris Starr continuing as archivist).
The members unanimously supported a symposium proposed by Karen Strickler (on behalf of WRCC-37) FOR A NON-NATIVE AGRICULTURE, WHAT DIRECTION POLLINATION?.
The election result was announced: Jennifer Fewell is the new president-elect of NAS/IUSSI, to take office as president next fall.
The treasurer's report showed us well in the black. We had voted to make funds available to scientists in countries where subscription to Insectes Sociaux would be beneficial but where economic conditions prevented their subscription. We are still looking for names of appropriate recipients.
